Executive - Packaging

We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for an Executive - Packaging for a leading FMCG company based in Kaduwela. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, high-quality, and compliant packaging operations while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage packaging processes in line with defined efficiency, quality, safety, environmental, regulatory, and operational standards

Achieve First-Time-Right (FTR) packaging by minimizing rework, rejects, and material waste

Ensure zero accident performance and strict adherence to EHS and safety guidelines

Oversee preventive, breakdown, and condition-based maintenance to ensure high machine availability and minimal downtime

Monitor equipment performance and improve OEE through structured maintenance and process optimization

Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma in daily operations

Support and maintain ISO systems (quality, safety, environmental) in shop-floor activities

Assist in implementation of new projects, line modifications, and productivity improvement initiatives

Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams for smooth operations

Maintain documentation, reports, and system data in ERP and related platforms

Key Requirements:

Education:

NDT or B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering

Experience:

1–2 years of hands-on experience in packaging or production lines within the FMCG industry

Technical & Functional Skills:

Knowledge and exposure to machinery maintenance and maintenance planning

Basic understanding of PLC & automation systems

Exposure to project management activities

TPM knowledge (added advantage)

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferred)

Working knowledge of SAP ERP

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Exposure to AI-based tools for analysis, reporting, or operational improvement
