Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that's looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, inquisitive, and an excellent leader. This company provides a friendly, collaborative culture, flexibility, and a tenured team. This position is hybrid.

The salary for this job is $90K - $110K.

The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end/year-end close, and preparation of accurate financial statements.

Lead GAAP-compliant financial reporting, including SEC and SOX requirements for publicly traded companies, with strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Maintain robust internal controls and ensure full adherence to SOX compliance standards and audit processes.

Coordinate and manage external audits.

Analyze financial data to prepare financial reports, statements, projections, and support budgeting, cost control, and treasury/risk management.

Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, building trust, driving team effectiveness, and upholding excellence, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Drive process innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance systems, improve efficiency, and strengthen overall financial operations.

The Controller will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Accounting, Finance or Economics degree required. CPA and MBA preferred.

7+ years of related experience in manufacturing/production industries.

Advanced knowledge of related computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative mindset.

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.

Advanced mathematical and reasoning abilities, including statistical analysis.
