Work Description and Responsibilities
This engagement primarily involves working on support, enhancements, and bug fixes to support the Store Accounting systems.
Analysis, design, code, test, and debug applications according to specifications
Analyze existing programs to identify the root cause of issues and create specifications for fix

Must Have Skills
Strong technical background in:
IBM Mainframe z/OS 2.3 Operating systems
COBOL v6.20, SQL
DB2 z/OS V12 or higher, QMF
Cool: Gen 8.5 Mainframe version, Host Encyclopedia
JCL
VSAM and QSAM file types
Syncsort
CICS (Preferred)
NOMAD (Preferred)
Experience working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong problem-determination skills and resolution experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
3+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise COBOL applications running on the mainframe
3+ years of experience with COBOL and DB2
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
Writing technical program specifications for COBOLDB2 programs
Nice to Have Skills
Special Qualifications
Experience working with sensitive data in an audited environment, preferred
Experience with SOX systems, preferred
Experience working on invoicing systems, preferred
Preferred Background in converting mainframe COBOL applications to distributed platforms
