Fairfield County Hedge Fund is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their Core Development which is responsible for building in-house systems and integrating and customizing third-party applications essential to the firm's operation. They are currently modernizing their proprietary on-premises systems into cloud-native, web-based solutions. This is a great opportunity for a talented backend

developer to make a major impact on critical financial software used across the firm. This role

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain custom .NET applications including STP trade platform, portfolio management tools, and front-office modules

• Drive modernization efforts by contributing to cloud and web transformation initiatives

• Integrate and extend third-party platforms like Workday and Salesforce

• Collaborate with business and project teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions

• Troubleshoot performance issues and implement robust fixes

Qualifications/Skills

Required:

• 7+ years in software development with C# and Web API

• Strong SQL experience and relational database design

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Git

• Strong academic track record with degree in Computer Science or related field

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Self-motivated, quick learner, and demonstrated ability for learning new technology

Preferred:

• Experience in Azure cloud development

• Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake

• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus

• Background in modernizing and transitioning software architecture and technology

• Understanding of Workday and/or Salesforce

• Front-end development experience using React

• Scripting skills in Python and PowerShell

• Awareness of accounting and finance fundamentals and work experience in the financial services industry

• Proficiency in Excel automation including building functions, macros, and custom add-ins
