Data Manager
The Data Manager will oversee development and maintenance of program tools, automations, and database systems. The role requires direct client interaction, leadership of technical staff, and stewardship of data strategy. Responsibilities include:
Design and develop tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, functions, dictionaries, and complex ad-hoc queries for SQL Server databases.
Oversee data architecture, quality control, and technical standards across projects.
Lead communication with clients regarding priorities, requirements, and deliverables.
Translate client-requested features into technical specifications and implementation plans.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and eliminate manual workflows.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to technical staff and program users.
Manage client expectations and maintain weekly communication on project status.
Direct special projects, maintain existing systems, and guide long-term data-platform improvements.
Support program strategy development and contribute to operational innovations.
Job Qualifications/Skills:
6+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, complex queries, and stored procedures.
3+ years of development experience with object-oriented languages.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and VBA skills, including macro development.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
Strong communication skills for client-facing and internal leadership roles.
Ability to work independently and lead technical teams in collaborative environments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $95.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
