Senior Network Engineer

This is a remote position. We're searching for a Senior Network Engineer for a leading proprietary trading firm that specializes in high-frequency algorithmic trading. Established in 2010, the company provides professional market-making services and operates on a global scale with a strong presence in emerging markets. With an infrastructure of over 100 top-tier servers, the firm prioritizes low-latency and scalable solutions, offering cutting-edge trading technologies.

The team is focused on expanding into both traditional asset classes and cryptocurrencies, while maintaining a commitment to technological innovation and rigorous market analysis. The company operates in key financial hubs such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, Dubai, and Cyprus, supporting its global trading activities.

Responsibilities:

Identify, design and implement network optimizations

Automate and eliminate manual elements of our network infrastructure

Assist with planned upgrades and maintenance (migrations, expansions, hardware and software upgrades)

Contribute to capacity planning, connectivity improvements and traffic flow optimization

Perform related practical tasks in the data center

Requirements:

Passionate about network performance, monitoring & capacity planning

Confident with a variety of network monitoring and alerting tools

Experience with LAN and WAN technologies

In-depth experience with network transport & routing protocols (TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast)

Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment (Cisco/Arista/Juniper/Huawei)

Experience with network security and firewalls

Confident with Python scripting for automation

Experience with low-latency networking, configuration management tooling functions, time series databases and centralized logging solutions are beneficial, but not required
