Java Architect - Retail Domain & Inventory Planning

Job Title: Java Architect – Retail Domain & Inventory Planning Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite 3 days/week) Type: Long-Term Contract About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Java Architect with strong expertise in retail systems, especially inventory planning.

This role involves designing scalable enterprise applications, providing architectural leadership, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support retail supply chain and inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities: • Architect and design enterprise-grade Java applications for retail inventory planning • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to define scalable solutions • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams • Ensure adherence to best practices in design, coding standards, and system performance • Conduct architectural reviews, code audits, and performance tuning • Drive continuous improvement across development processes and system design • Experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) is highly preferred Required Skills & Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development and architecture • Strong background in the retail domain, especially inventory planning and supply chain systems • Expertise in Spring Framework, Microservices, and REST API development • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills: • Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) modules such as Demand Planning, Fulfillment, or Inventory Optimization Location Requirement: Candidates must be available to work onsite in Atlanta, GA three days per week.
