CS SHEET METAL DECOMMISSIONING 1K

Primary responsibility is cutting, cleaning, and preparing equipment and ductwork for disposal, and for removing and reinstalling ductwork for cleaning purposes.

Responsibilities

Primary duties for assigned area to include but not limited to pressure washing, cutting, sand blasting, cleaning, organizing, painting, loading, unloading, lifting, etc.

Removing and reinstalling ductwork for cleaning purposes.

Prepare area where maintenance work will be performed.

Clean up area where maintenance work has been performed.

Require mechanical ability to disassemble, cut and clean machines, ductwork, misc. equipment so it can be decontaminated and scrapped with little to no supersivion.

Being directly supervised by a classified sheet metal fabricator, assisting in shop and field fabrication and installation of sheet metal projects when needed.

May perform light maintenance on own with guidance, for example, assembly and disassembly.

Run errands or perform duties for maintenance supervision.

Observe all company safety policies, rules and regulations.

Performs other duties as requested by Management.

Responsible for producing a high quality product.

Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.

Qualifications

Basic math, reading and writing skills.

Ability to setup and operate department machinery including plasma cutter, torch and welders.

Ability to use hand and power tools with little or no guidance.

Ability to use measuring tools.

Ability to operate material handling and lifting equipment.

Ability to closely follow instructions.

Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

Ability to work alone or in a group.

Work well with others.

Ability to operate a torch and plasma cutter
