Database Developer & Administrator (SQL)
Full-Time Hybrid Randolph, MA (Must be local)
May Institute is seeking an experienced Database Developer & Administrator (SQL) to maintain, optimize, and support our database systems. Reporting to the Senior Director of Applications, this role ensures data reliability, performance, and integrity across mission-critical systems that support our nationwide programs. About 40% of the work will focus on administration (maintenance, monitoring, security, and backups), while 60% will focus on development (query and procedure design, optimization, and data solutions).
What Youll Do
Maintain high availability and performance of SQL Server databases.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions.
Ensure data integrity through backups, recovery plans, and security controls.
Collaborate with developers and business leaders to support reporting and analytics needs.
Maintain clear documentation and uphold data privacy and compliance standards.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
1-3 years of experience in SQL Server administration and development.
Strong skills in T?SQL, performance tuning, and database design.
Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly and solve complex data issues.
