Responsibilities
Performs inspections and evaluations of existing conditions for various electrical equipment and systems for proper installation, problem identification/ trouble shooting, and overall improvements
Ensures system event assessments and RCA are performed for equipment failures and implements corrective actions, confirming proper mitigation plans are in place
Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and design plans related to projects and analysis of increasing scope and complexity
Conducts independent engineering work, receiving guidance on the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Performs power system modeling and analyses utilizing software tools and applications; stays informed of technology advancements, market trends, and relevant guidelines and standards related to energy technology
Ensures the performance of day to day preventive maintenance activities to maintain equipment and ensure continued operation according to required standards including
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) quality and environmental and reliability standards
Helps ensure infrastructures supporting processes are validated/qualified throughout their life cycle
Develops the engineering facility design, including but not limited to electrical system design, such as sizing, creating one-line diagrams, and selecting equipment
Assists in the development of new technology and standards strategy and the implementation of strategies into business operations to improve power system funcionality and quality of service to customers
Act as project sponsors with some technical assistance when responding to technical questions requiring project modification to move projects through their lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in a scientific/technical/math field.
Two or more years of experience performing engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. \u00a0
Preferred Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of power systems, statistics, forecasting, or data analytics, with the ability to apply these concepts to load\u2011forecasting and system data evaluation.
Experience using Python, SQL, Snowflake, or similar tools to manage large datasets, automate processes, and support forecasting workflows.
Demonstrated experience with forecasting models, statistical analyses, or scenario\u2011based studies, along with strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills to identify data issues and improvement opportunities.
Experience with machine learning or AI techniques to enhance forecasting accuracy, automate data processes, or support advanced analytical studies is preferred.
Experience with data visualization and dashboard development such as Power BI and familiarity with workflow automation tools such as Power Automate to support efficient reporting and forecasting processes.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross\u2011functional teams, gather requirements, and translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts and present findings to both technical and non\u2011technical audiences, including external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, balance competing priorities, and adapt to evolving business needs in a fast\u2011paced environment.
Strong ability to document processes, methodologies, and workflows clearly and consistently to support transparency, knowledge sharing, and long\u2011term maintainability.
Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, methods, and technologies, especially in evolving forecasting and data environments.
Ability to adapt to uncertainty, pivot quickly as priorities shift, and respond effectively to changing business needs in a fast\u2011paced environment.
Proven ownership mindset, with the ability to take initiative, drive tasks to completion, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes or outcomes. \u00a0
Additional Information
This position\u2019s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation.\u00a0 Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
