Job Description

Northbrook, IL Contract-to-Hire $20–$24/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Inventory Clerk to support material flow throughout a manufacturing facility. This position plays a key role in accurate inventory control, timely part movement, and supporting production teams across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, move, stage, and deliver parts based on route cards, computer instructions, or team direction

Count parts and enter transactions into the computer system to maintain accurate inventory

Respond quickly to expedited requests from machine builders or other team members

Receive, put away, pack/unpack, and process transactions for incoming and outgoing materials

Set up new parts and locations in the warehouse, including labeling

Additional Duties:

Follow all safety procedures

Maintain tools and equipment

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

Ability to speak, read, and write English (Spanish bilingual a plus)

Strong communication skills

Ability to follow written, verbal, and computer-based instructions

Comfortable using warehouse computer systems, scanners, barcode readers, and tablets

Ability to complete part transactions accurately in the system

Able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
