General Laborer

Job Description

Great opportunity to get your foot in the door as a General Laborer. We also have possible future opportunities to grow within our company’s production department.

Job duties:

Site preparation - Cleaning, clearing debris, and preparing the site for work.

Material Handling - Loading, unloading, and transporting building materials, tools, and equipment from ground level to elevated heights.

Assisting Tradespeople - Providing support to carpenters, masons, electricians, and other specialized workers.

Maintenance - Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed.

Structure Setup/Takedown: Setting up and dismantling scaffolding and other temporary structures.

Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Communication - Effectively communicate with crew and supervisor(s).

Perform all assigned duties on a jobsite, as directed by supervision.

Essential Skills & Qualities

Physical Stamina and Strength: The ability to perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods.

Teamwork and Following Directions: Working effectively with a team and following instructions from supervisors.

Safety Awareness: A strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols.

Requirements:

• 18 years or older

• Able to lift at least 50 lbs

• Able to stand for long periods of time

• Must be dependable and reliable

• Must have valid drivers license and legal /reliable transportation.

Other job duties may include:

• Painting

• Cleaning

• Fire Watch

• Scaffolding

• Decking

• Needle gunning
