Position Summary:

The Export Coordinator supports Mohawk's air/ocean export transportation by leveraging Mohawk's partner relationships as well as their own unique problem solving and analytical skills to assist Mohawk customers. The Export Coordinator regularly and directly interfaces with Mohawk's clients and suppliers to ensure a high level of performance in the movement of goods through the supply chain, from start to finish. The Export Coordinator possesses an inquisitive mindset to investigate and resolve problem shipments and other aspects of freight management, whether they be air, land or sea as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate ocean and air export shipments and complete all related tasks

Prepare rates and quotes for customers and overseas agents

Accurately prepare all export-related documentation and complete routings

Prepare and forward accurate and timely billing to clients

Manage most complex shipments and/or key clients

Develop understanding of all aspects of Mohawk Global international trade services

Receive, review, verify and process export documentation from overseas agents/customers

Perform data entry into CargoWise tracking system

Inform receiving parties of customs clearance, delivery instructions and other required information

Track and trace shipments, research and resolve any issues regarding billing or shipping discrepancies, communicate timely correspondence back to both customers and vendors

Manage client and vendor profiles

Collaborate and build relationships with customers, carriers, and agent representatives regarding air and ocean exports to strengthen service competitiveness

Finalize files with billing charges, complete billing invoices and files and maintain completed folders

Provide reporting and analytics as required by customers

Desired Skills/Experience:

3-5 years export freight forwarding experience required

Working knowledge of CargoWise logistics platform preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written

College degree (Associates or Bachelors) preferred; major/concentration in logistics, supply chain, business, accounting or other applicable field of study preferred

Creative thinking/problem solving with a competitive desire to meet and exceed customer expectations

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to multi-task and make quick and sound decisions in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment

Possess a working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Possess an analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports and correspondence

Ability to work calmly under pressure from customers and overseas partners

Comfortable working in a team-focused environment

Self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm

Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels
