ROLE SUMMARY:

St Louis School – Colonna is seeking a Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join from August 2026. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed professional with experience teaching Mathematics at middle school level, ideally within an international school context.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative department and contribute to curriculum development in a dynamic, student-centred learning environment.

St Louis School – Colonna campus, Milan, is a well-established private international school educating approximately 1,600 students aged 2 to 18. The Early Years, Primary School and Middle School follow a curriculum based on the British National Curriculum. The Middle School culminates in the Cambridge Checkpoint examinations in Year 9, leading into IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme pathways in the High School.

SUITABLE CANDIDATES WILL:

Have experience teaching Mathematics at middle school level

Experience teaching the IB is a distinct advantage, and candidates with Diploma Programme experience will be given priority

Be able to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the school

Be committed to high academic standards and a constructivist approach to learning

Demonstrate enthusiasm for promoting international-mindedness

Show initiative, flexibility, creativity and strong organisational skills

Contribute positively to co-curricular activities and wider school life

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or above

Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)

A degree in Mathematics is desirable; graduates in related fields will also be considered

EU passport or an existing right to work in Italy

Strong ICT skills and confidence integrating technology into teaching

Ability to teach an additional subject is an advantage
