Reports To: Concession Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt/32 hours a week

Location: Santa Rosa, CA Hourly Rate: $20 per hour

Snapshot of the Role

In this customer-facing role, you will help create safe and pleasant patron and client experiences. You will support bartenders by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary back-of-bar area, including restocking products, preparing supplies, and assisting with event-day setup and breakdown. You will follow proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety practices.

All the duties and responsibilities you are entrusted with:

Assist with setting up and breakdown of bar and beverage areas, including tables, chairs, linens, stanchions, beverages, and kegs.

Support inventory control, product rotation, and maintain clean, organized, and hygienic storage areas.

Perform minor maintenance and bi-monthly inventory counts as needed.

Maintain sanitary conditions at concession stands and kitchens before, during, and after events.

Handle trash, disinfect surfaces, mop, sweep, restock supplies, and clean ice machines.

Support safe crowd management and set up stanchions/signage as needed.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, respond quickly to medical incidents, and prioritize patron and employee safety.

Answer questions, resolve basic issues, and provide friendly, informed service to patrons.

Purpose of the Position

To support the preparation and smooth operation of concessions with bar set-up and dismantle, inventory oversight, and provide patrons with a positive experience.

Key Relationships:

Immediate supervisor, bartenders, patrons, volunteers, and other departments

Key Results:

Contribute to an increase of concession revenue by efficient throughput of patrons served

Adapt to changing operating environment with initiative-taking actions in support of concession’s needs

Model meticulous and exceptional quality in service to maintain the highest standards

Foster a sense of positive affiliation among concession team and other LBC staff

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Bar Area Setup and Breakdown

Effectively completes physical setup and breakdown of bar and beverage service areas for patrons and clients of the Center

Safely transports, sets up, and dismantles equipment such as tables, chairs, linens, stanchions, beverages, and kegs according to event requirements

Inventory Control

Ensure proper product rotation, storage consolidation, and upkeep of clean, organized, and hygienic refrigerated areas

Perform minor emergency maintenance and repairs during events, including removal of safety hazards and replenishment or replacement of products

Accurately completes bi-monthly counts of current inventory and communicates discrepancies or needs promptlyJanitorial Duties

Maintain sanitary conditions at concession stands and in the kitchen before, during, and after events

Execute janitorial tasks such as trash management, disinfecting surfaces, food disposal, mopping, sweeping, replenishing supplies and products, and performing basic touch-up painting as needed

Clean ice machines Safety Procedures

Supports effective crowd management during events and performances, ensuring a safe environment for patrons and employees

Identifies, reports, and helps resolve unauthorized facility use or unsafe, unusual, or improper conditions.

Properly sets up stanchions and signage for crowd control, relocating or removing them as events require.

Responds quickly during medical incidents, using radio equipment to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and emergency responders.

Prioritizes safety for patrons and employeesPatron Services

Answer basic questions and work to resolve patron issues in accordance with policy guidelines

Remain well informed of specific organizational information in order to provide answers to a multitude of patron questions and inquiries

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. May act as point of contact in the absence of the Concession Manager.

Education

Basic math skills and accurate inventory trackingPhysical Effort and Working Conditions

Must be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; able to lift up to 50lbs. regularly, to transport and stock assigned supplies and products; to pick up from vendors and deliver stock and materials.
