ITS, Software Architect, Expert
30 month contract
Virtual Interview
Selected candidates are expected to work in Albany office 3-4 days per week
Day-to-day tasks
-assisting in prioritizing the design and development effort.
-overseeing the design of each application to ensure it follows the strategic plan.
-providing guidance for design best practices.
-ensuring the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is followed.
-coordinating technical solutions among various technical groups.

Software Architect
Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
Expert
84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
84 Months of experience in in a leadership role where the candidate has consistently managed teams of more than 25 people in an IT environment, overseeing complex projects and ensuring successful delivery.
84 Months of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent, specifically handling responsibilities such as system development life cycle management, IT service provisioning, and application infrastructure.
84 Months of experience in managing IT projects with several thousand users such as enterprise-wide system implementations, with a strong emphasis on application architecture and development in languages like Java, .NET and Cobol.
84 Months of Software development experience in Cobol, Java, or .NET technologies.
84 Months experience in project coordination, specializing in leading technology or common service teams for significant projects within state or government financial organizations.
84 Months of experience with IBM software which includes WebSphere Application Server (WAS), COBOL, IBM DB2, IBM MQSeries, JCL, and IBM DataStage).
84 Months experience in leading continuity of operations programs and disaster recovery plans, particularly in high-stakes, operational environments.
84 months experience with a Government Taxation organization, which includes business knowledge, technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complex Tax Return processing.
