Inside Upholsterer

Summary Job Description

This position is responsible for applying upholstery materials to furniture frames using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and special upholstery tools.

Essential Duties

Use various tools to apply padding and upholstery fabric to a wood frame, completing the inside of an upholstered piece of furniture

Build pieces so cover is smooth and fits the frame properly

Must be able to read and follow production tickets

Must be able to line, spot match, 4-way line and tuft

Must follow all safety policies and procedures

All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous upholstery experience a plus

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks

Must be able to work in noisy environments

Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble product or operate machine as directed

Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; rarely lifting/carrying objects 51-75 lbs.
