Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technician to support diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. This role is responsible for patient preparation, imaging execution, equipment operation, and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain examination rooms for radiologic procedures
Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable diagnostic images
Position patients and imaging equipment; explain procedures and ensure patient comfort
Enter scan commands and patient data; monitor imaging displays and adjust density or contrast as needed
Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring safety and minimizing radiation exposure
Produce diagnostic images and communicate critical information to physicians
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Organize daily procedure schedules, including emergency cases, and monitor radiographic supplies
Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, answering technical questions, and providing pre-procedure instructions
Conduct routine equipment maintenance and assist with emergency repairs
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technician experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
Two (2) professional references required
Compensation
All-Inclusive Non-Local Rate: $72.72/hr
Taxable: $55.14/hr
Per Diem: $17.58/hr
Eligibility: Travelers only (must reside 60+ miles from the facility)
