Position Summary

Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex injection molding machines. This individual will ensure the continued operation of injection molding machines through interpretation of and appropriate response to machine faults and through occasional alignment of stations and fixtures. This individual will perform moderately complex, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and is expected to endure a moderate level of equipment attentiveness. The operator is responsible for ensuring that products meet specifications and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

" Adjust parameters (within allowable limits) to ensure good quality and optimal machine efficiency

" Able to interpret machine faults and determine root cause. Able to rectify issues

" (within the validated condition of the equipment) such that fault no longer occurs

" Capable of performing minor machine adjustments, changeovers, and setups without maintenance intervention

" Able to trouble shoot and fix simple issue o Assist and escalate issues to technicians on issues that needs further investigation o Able to demonstrate flexibility in operating multiple machines of moderate complexity. Moderately Complex machines: o Able to operate book molds o Operate complex molds- Hyperflex o Attention to detail to ensure molds are placed in the correct cavity to ensure molds are not damaged

" Must be able to perform visual inspections with and without the aid of magnification tools

" This job operates in a clean room environment- Must adhere to PPE (gowning) and GMP guidelines

" While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for the duration of the shift

" Must be able to repetitively move and lift objects of up to 20 lbs

Quals--

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience

" Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred

" High school diploma or GED required

" 1+ years experience required

" Must be 18 years of age

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

" Ability to oversee/run assigned line/process without requiring assistance from others.

" Ability to work at pace for line/process to achieve shift goal.

" Performs routine safety inspections on assigned processes.

" Must be detail oriented and have good manual dexterity and math skills.

" Able clear equipment jams and reset equipment.

" Able to escalate issues to line technicians as required.

" Able to performs material changeovers (Paper/ Poly).

" Basic Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience preferred.

" Able to read and understand procedures.

" Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.

" Knowledge and experience in use of mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment preferred.

" Mechanical ability and aptitude are necessary
