Private Equity Hands-On Controller for Portfolio Company

Are you looking for an opportunity to become the financial leader of a private-equity owned small and growing business ($10mm of sales) and develop the skillset to become the CFO within a reasonable timeframe?

Cornerstone Capital Holdings (“CCH”) is under contract to acquire a $10.0 million manufacturing division (“Newco”) of a larger corporation based in Elkhart, IN. Newco will also be based in Elkhart, IN and is seeking an entrepreneurial and hands-on Controller to oversee all of the company's financial operations including the following:

· Help establish a “stand-alone” accounting structure independent of the former parent company – including the establishment of an accounts receivable and accounts payable and daily cash flow function;

· Work closely with the President and management team to assess pricing and margin issues and work closely with private equity principals;

· Manage all invoicing and payables for the organization;

· Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;

· Preparation of detailed annual P&L and Cashflow budgets;

· Preparation of monthly program review;

· Creation and maintenance of insightful financial analyses for management review and decision-making, in part, related to:

o Standard labor and overhead rate calculation;

o Job cost actual vs. budget and program analysis;

o Supervision of day-to-day activities of the factory accounting function;

· Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial summaries;

· Review of pricing and new business opportunities;

· MRP experience and familiarity – ideally with Epicor;

Must have solid financial statement and cost accounting background and be extremely comfortable working with MRP systems to improve overall operating efficiency. Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing is a plus.

The candidate will have the following:

Strong accounting background, ideally a CPA;;

Solid experience in manufacturing accounting & corporate finance;

Experience with a small company (between 25 - 50 employees);

Excellent Excel skills including pivot tables, graphs and data analysis;

Stable work record.
