Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Electrical Foreman for a long-term project in Baton Rouge, LA area.

PAY: $32.00 - $34.00 /hour (based upon experience)

HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays, 5 days per week

SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

START DATE: ASAP

Foreman Electrician Job Description:

This role is hands-on leadership in a specialized, high-stakes electrical environment, focusing on the physical construction and maintenance of critical power infrastructure

Qualifications for Foreman Electrician:

Electrical experience in a substation or industrial setting

Crew Supervision: Manage, schedule, and direct small to large crews (electricians, groundmen) on substation projects.

Technical Oversight: Oversee installation of substation foundations, grounding, conduit, steel erection, and cable pulling/termination.

Project Planning: Interpret substation drawings, one-line diagrams, and specifications to guide work.

Material Management: Handle material ordering and inventory for site needs.

Safety & Quality: Enforce strict safety protocols (OSHA) and ensure work meets codes and quality standards.

Coordination: Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other trades.

Reporting: Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and project documentation.

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven experience running substation crews.

Deep understanding of substation construction processes.

Proficiency with blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Requirements for Foreman Electrician:

Must be eligible to work in the United States

Must have reliable transportation to the job site

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Must be licensed in Louisiana
