Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Lathe Operator to join our machining team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes to produce high-quality precision components. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.

Perform machine setups, including loading materials, selecting tooling, and adjusting offsets.

Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.

Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).

Maintain tolerances according to engineering and customer requirements.

Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, materials, and machine performance.

Keep accurate records of daily production, material usage, and quality checks.

Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Communicate with supervisors or programmers regarding production needs or machine issues.

Requirements

1–3+ years of CNC lathe operation experience required.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.

Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and machining principles.

Experience adjusting offsets, speeds, and feeds.

Proficient with precision measuring equipment.

Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

Reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Fanuc, or similar controls.

Basic CNC programming or editing abilities.

Experience in metal fabrication or high-tolerance machining environments.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
