Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Property Administrator to join our client on a temporary/contract basis in South Lake Tahoe. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of property management practices. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional service to residents. This is a part time opportunity that can start within the next week, interested candidates must have experience in Yardi property management software.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, vendors, and staff to foster a positive community environment.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies, conduct property tours, and follow up with potential tenants to optimize occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with Section 8 and Tax Credit programs, including overseeing certifications and recertifications.
• Assist residents in completing housing-related paperwork, such as Social Security, VA, and Medicaid documentation.
• Manage leasing processes, oversee move-ins, and coordinate unit turnovers efficiently.
• Address resident concerns and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Collect rental payments, manage delinquencies, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and external vendors to ensure timely completion of repairs and improvements.
• Handle accounting tasks such as invoicing and maintaining financial documentation.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a related field.
• Familiarity with Section 8 and Tax Credit properties is essential.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Compliance, with certification or training preferred.
• Proficiency in using property management software, such as Yardi, and tools like Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
• Solid understanding of property management, leasing, and marketing principles.
• Ability to work part-time, Monday through Friday, while maintaining high performance standards.
