JOB PURPOSE This position is an integral part of Cottage's contracting process, which includes contract modeling and claims and payer data mining, payer relationships, reporting and analysis, tracking and trending, support for facility and physician credentialing to ensure continuity of access to services, data management, and providing coverage for organization-wide contracting and support for managed care initiatives.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION Minimum: BA or equivalent experience where 2 years of applicable work experience is equal to one year of education.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Minimum: N/A.
Preferred: TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
Experience creating and editing Word and Adobe (PDF) documents and database management.
Basic understanding of budgeting and financial principles.
Preferred: Ability to work with budgets and intermediate understanding of financial modeling, legal and contracting principles.
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum: Five (5) years of experience in contracting, finance, legal, or position requiring analytical thinking.
Bachelor's degree may be substituted for work experience.
Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in healthcare or contracting related field.
