Join a manufacturing team in Lansing, MI, where your programming skill translates complex prints into flawless parts on Haas mills. You’ll own the evening window—3:00 pm to 2:00 am (10's)—with overtime eligibility and no Saturdays, driving quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Why this role

Translate blueprints, materials, specs, and assembly drawings into optimized machining plans.
Apply GD&T knowledge to ensure dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
Program mills and lathes, set zeros and references, define work offsets, and produce reliable G-Code.
Use geometry and trigonometry to drive precision in setups and cutting strategies.
Run first-article and in-process inspections; adjust to maintain spec.
Enforce safety practices and sustain a clean, orderly, hazard-free workstation.
Conduct routine PMs, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation.
Communicate across shifts to share learnings, issues, and next steps.
Participate in training; propose and implement CI ideas to boost throughput and quality.

Location: Lansing, MI
Hours: 3:00 pm – 2:00 am (10's)
No Saturdays; OT eligible
Machines: Haas mills; CNC lathes as needed
Software: NX, SolidWorks, and CAM software What you bring
Experienced at choosing proper tooling, machines, and materials per job requirements.
Solid foundation in mechanics, shop math, metallurgy, layouts, and machining procedures.
Keen ability to listen/observe equipment for early signs of malfunction; act on adjustments/repairs.
Habits for correct lubrication/cooling and operational verification.
Commitment to cleaning and lubricating machines, tools, and equipment.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and flow.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Organization and prioritization skills; effective with limited supervision.
Clear, logical reasoning—able to explain conclusions; maintains confidentiality.
Calm under pressure; adaptable to changing demands and schedules. Education
High school diploma or associate degree (community college or vocational school).
Equivalent job-related experience/training considered in lieu of post-secondary education. Core proficiencies
