Job Description
Job Duties:
The Inpatient Coder assigns the correct ICD and CPT codes to hospital admission, emergency department and ancillary service encounters for accurate and timely submission to all third party payers.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; completion of additional post-secondary health-related program preferred. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC or CCA required with current AHIMA or AAPC certification and continuing education status preferred; E&M and/or hospital coding experience preferred and 2-3 years experience
Shift Schedule:
Full-Time; Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Flexible scheduling available. Remote work may be an option following the training period and successful demonstration of coding competencies.
