Packaging Associate

Job Description

Allegiance Staffing is looking for full time packaging associates for our food manufacturing client located in New Holland, PA. All positions are 1st shift, Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

Packaging Associate Essential Functions:

• Packs and stacks product in accordance with the quality management system requirements

• Makes adjustments on tape machines, labelers (including refilling), box makers and conveyors

• Verifies correct packaging for product listed in quality management system

• Monitors quality of packaging, product, cases and pallets

• Assembles boxes for hand packing product

• Visually inspects codes, seals, packaging. Alerts operator of issues and makes corrections.

• Completes paperwork, assuring legibility and proper counts

• Operates equipment and case packers

• Safely operates hand jacks to move or position skids as needed

• Sets up and uses scales

• Supports online platforms by entering data into various computer systems

Requirements and Experience:

1. Experience in packaging duties or a packing role

2. Experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred

3. Experience with Microsoft Office, using scanners

4. Basic mechanical aptitude

5. Ability to speak, read and write in English
