Senior Backend Engineer (Java) - NYC Hybrid

A high-growth e-commerce company serving over 2 million users is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Product Engineering team. This role focuses on the architecture and implementation of foundational microservices powering a large-scale marketplace and registry platform.

Core Requirements

Expertise in Java and Spring Boot : Deep experience building robust backend systems.

Architecture: Proven ability to design and lead the development of scalable microservices and APIs.

Cloud Infrastructure: Professional experience deploying and maintaining services on AWS.

System Design: Strong track record of optimizing performance and handling high-traffic data volumes.

Mentorship: Experience conducting code reviews and guiding technical design discussions.

Product Mindset: Ability to collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

This is a full-time, direct-hire position

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000
