Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated individual to work in our CS department. This position requires in office work and field work. A strong knowledge of Construction is helpful. Receive customer complaints related to builders and help find solutions
Answering technical questions for builders, sales reps, and customers
Monitor to ensure projects are rolling thru the construction, concrete and garage door stage efficiently
Stay up to date with county inspector requirements
Keep in friendly contact with builders to help keep loyalty to Summertown Metals
Review and oversee processing of reimbursement forms
Work with sales reps on what we can build (location, technical specs, timeframe, how to build)
Working with builders on customer relations, technical questions, contract disputes.
Work with county codes, inspectors on contract disputes, requirements, questions
Work with engineers to set standards for buildings
Set, review, maintain standards for sales reps and maintain quality, affordable construction.
Support field techs with contract disputes, technical issues that arise
Deal with outside of normal warranties(i.e. steel trusses from Alpha Truss, damage caused by shipping)
Working with customers that STMC, STM Concrete, or Derek’s houses/barns. Work with them until the job is completed.
Monitor how many buildings we have/need
Recruit and maintain builder crews.
Monitor the needs and performance of field reps.
Monitors and tracks customer service invoices and provides accountability, monitors weekly and does month end closeout after reviewing them
Evaluate builder’s concerns to correct issues
Get missing material to builder’s jobsite that day or next morning
Utilize approved lumber/metal companies to get material when necessary
Utilize all assets available (shipping, qc, coordination driver/personal) to get material out asap.
Deliver materials when needed.
Assess and bill (CS’s) customers, builders, sales rep, or department for missed/damaged material.
Assure that builders with missed material or needing onsite support are called within an hour and updated regularly for unresolved issues
Customer complaints and quality issues can escalate when lack of communication or unresolved quickly. Any issues unresolved that day needs to be brought to your manager’s attention
Track habitual problems to create data we can use for change
