Controller for medium sized and growing engineering consulting firm based in Golden, CO.
Reporting to the CFO and managing a small accounting team, you will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls. You will assist the company in M&A activities and financial due diligence and rolling in newly acquired companies.
Job Duties:
Lead all aspects of accounting including financial reporting, month-end close, a/p, a/r, payroll, project accounting
Financial Analysis - compile reports that support the business: budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, capital investment analysis
Oversee multi-state payroll
Oversee debt convenants
Manage company fleet and drive strategy to decrease costs and maintain accurate reporting
Continuous improvement of accounting processes and automation
Support due diligence for acquisitions and roll-in of newly acquired businesses
Manage small team of accounting professionals
Requirements:
Bachelors in Accounting, CPA or CMA or CA is a strong plus
Mix of Public Accounting & Industry experience is a plus. Will also consider strong industry experience without public accounting. Previous accounting manager/controller experience in a small/medium and growing company, ideally in engineering or construction or similar service business with Work in Progress
Experience rolling in newly acquired companies is a strong plus
Hands-on experience with mainstream accounting software - Sage Intaact is a plus!
Outstanding communication skills and leadership skills
Must have strong natural curiosity. Identify and implement constant improvements
This position is primarily in-office while some flexibility for remote work is offered. There will be occasional weekend or evening work.

$150,000 plus bonus plus stock! plus benefits. Opportunity to move into CFO.
