SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE Under direction, supervises, reviews and participates the overall Textile Laboratory operation on daily basis; ensures work quality, productivity, formula accuracy and consistency of the results; provide training on proper laboratory test procedures and processes; and performs technical and complex tasks relative to assigned responsibilities.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Research and develop laboratory operation procedures to improve NEPS and make sure that it meets overall product quality standards.

* Work closely with other textile department managers & technicians and ensure open door policy on communication.

* Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approved policies and procedures.

* Ensure all laboratory resources are utilized efficiently and accurately to achieve successful laboratory results for the product.

* Train and inform Laboratory Personnel on necessary functions to perform the job.

* Participate in the preparation and administration of the sanitation laboratory program and abide by OSHA standards.

* Lead by example to follow OSHA rules, always use proper tools, equipment & PPE for all tasks.

* Provide lab training to employees on proper lab methods, procedures, and techniques.

* Overseas, arranges employee's time off and follow company policies on disciplinary actions, attendance, property damage, etc.

* Respond and direct procedure in emergency situations (Lockdown, Fire, Reasonable Suspicious, Injury at Work, etc.) * Report any production or quality issues, unsafe work practices to management immediately.

* Perform all other job duties as assigned by the plant manager.

* SCOPE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES This position has supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Knowledge of lab machinery and correlation to production results * Metric/goal driven - methodical in actions and detail oriented * Experience supervising/mentoring employees * Employee must be able to communicate with the planet manager.

* Previous experience in laboratory required.

* Must be able to read blueprints, manuals etc.

* Must be able to follow instructions and learn new techniques.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: BS degree in Textile Technology or Engineering is desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee must be able to: * Bend, Reach, Push, Pull, Stoop.

* Stand for long periods of time * Walk long distances every day * Lift up to 50 pounds * Distinguish the level of white color (white, middle yellow, yellow). SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: * Always wear hearing protection (where applicable). * Always wear safety glove when using utility knife.

* Always wear dust mask (where applicable) * Always wear shoes that cover the entire foot, no open toes.

* Always keep hair tied back.

* Always observe good housekeeping by keeping cotton fibers or any foreign materials, debris off of the floor.
