Java/J2EE Developer - Contract Role Onsite in McLean, VA

What You'll Be Doing

Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java/J2EE

Build and deploy microservices with Spring Boot, Docker, and OpenShift

Solve complex performance and scalability challenges

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready solutions

Write clean, testable code and support robust CI/CD pipelines

Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system stability

Create automated testing scripts to maintain high-quality releases What You Bring

Hands-on experience with Java A.X, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Kaban, and Docker

Strong understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development

A passion for clean code, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement Tech Stack Highlights

Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, Gherkin, Cucumber

Databases: MongoDB (MQL), SQL

Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift (OCP 4.x)

Front-End: Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript

Tools & Platforms: IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode, Bitbucket

Other Technologies: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, Splunk, ELK, JMS, Dynatrace, JSON, XML/XSD Bonus Points

Experience working in agile teams and enterprise environments

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
