**Job Description:**
**Observability Engineer**
**Location:** Columbus, OH (4 days onsite)
**Type:** Contract to hire
**Rate**: Negotiable
**About the Role:**
**We're looking for an Observability Engineer to build and maintain dashboards and data sets that improve visibility into restaurant systems. You'll analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with teams to keep systems stable and efficient.**
**What You'll Do**
- Build and enhance dashboards for business needs.
- Monitor and maintain system stability across environments.
- Analyze logs and resolve production issues.
- Provide on-call support (rotation basis).
- Manage IT projects and documentation.
- Handle ticket queues and coordinate tasks.
- Implement changes with testing and planning.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies.
- Stay current on tech trends and explore cost-effective solutions.
- Use observability tools for proactive alerts and insights.
- Design new solutions based on business needs.
**What You'll Bring**
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3--5 years of experience.
- Experience with Splunk, Datadog, Grafana.
- Python scripting skills.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and SQL.
- Knowledge of Cosmos DB or similar platforms.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Restaurant POS experience (preferred).
