Actuation Engineer / Landing Gear - WA area - 2007

Our client in the Seattle, WA area who is a global leader in manufacturing and overhauling aerospace structures, systems, and components and is looking for a Design Engineer with Actuation/ Actuator / Hydraulics experience responsible for providing support for their Company.

Position purpose/core responsibilities:

Main Duties:

Landing gear structural design and spatial integration.

Detail design of landing gear structural elements.

Kinematic layout of landing gear mechanisms.

Design of shock absorbers.

Integration of steering, braking and actuation systems.

Interfacing with customers and suppliers.

Requirements:

Landing gear design experience.

3-D modeling (Solid works and/or CATIA experience).

Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, WORD, MS Power Point, MS Project).

Ability to support customer in spatial integration.

Assertive team player who is self-motivated and enjoys working in a team environment and works well with others.

10 years' experience minimum in related field.

Bachelor's Degree (BS) in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
