Job Summary
THI is seeking dynamic and experienced Adjunct Faculty to deliver Basic Science instruction to MSMS students, following the PHSU MSMS curriculum. This is a part-time, contract-based opportunity ideal for educators passionate about advancing medical education through innovative tools and remote instruction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in MSMS Basic Science courses in accordance with the standards outlined in the THI Faculty Handbook.
Utilize virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom) effectively to engage and support student learning.
Collaborate with academic leadership and fellow faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and instructional quality.
Provide timely communication, feedback, and support to students.
Maintain accurate and organized records in compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Clear, correct, and effective communication using the English language.
Ability to use discretionary judgment
Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft word, office suite; Ability to learn new technologies and software programs
Valid FL Driver's License with good driving record; must be insurable

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Experience:
Doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant Basic Science or medical field.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities as outline in this job description
Light work-standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs.
Talking, hearing, repetitive motions
Close visual acuity-viewing computer screen, extensive reading
8:30am to 5:00pm; flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise independence and discretion
