Stress Engineers - Aircraft Interior Modification - Seattle Area - 0720
Our client in the Seattle WA area has multiple immediate openings for their new project that is involved in the modification of aircraft interiors. They are seeking experienced stress engineers for this long term project . Experience with previous aircraft interior modification design work preferred such as LOPA, Galleys, Crew Rests etc.
Jobs Roles & Responsibilities
Provide stress analysis on metallic and composite aircraft components, specifically Galleys, using Finite Element Analysis Software and/or hand calculations, to ensure airworthiness of structural and interior modifications to Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Works independently and with guidance from the Engineering Manager to plan and perform structural analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structures and interior components. Interfaces with Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Shop Personnel and Management. The Analyst will perform various analyses including Ultimate, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis. Prepare Static Test plans, Interface Loads reports and Structural Substantiation reports and Create Finite element and Nastran models.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in interiors and a Bachelor's degree.
NASTRAN/Patran FEA experience is required or similar.
Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned
Familiarity and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent.
