This position is onsite and direct hire. It is desirable that the candidate has a strong previous Avionics experience and FAA and certification experience.

Role Description & Primary Duties
The Electronics Engineer's work will involve hands-on work including designing, building, and testing analog and digital circuit boards, building test stands, running experiments, qualifying hardware, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design electronics circuitry to support Power Electronics products.
Design digital circuitry - DSP, FPGA and ASIC.
Prototyping and verification of the design and creating HW/SW integration.
Design and layout of the electronic board.
Troubleshoot, validation and verification of the board from the component level to the system level.
Analysis, simulations, prototyping and debug.
Develop specifications and trade off analysis.
Support failure investigation processes.
Work closely with manufacturing during new product introduction and provide support for product release, tooling, testing solutions, troubleshooting and continuous engineering.
Work with and support mechanical, electrical, software, hardware, test, motor, and specialty engineers to facilitate integration testing.
Material support with vendor selection and alternative solutions.
Requirements
BS or MS degree in electrical engineering / power electronics with at least 5 years of related experience.
Knowledge of aerospace standards as DO-254 and DO-160 and MIL-STD.
Electronics troubleshooting skills.
Hands on experience in designing electronics for mixed signal embedded systems
Experience with analog, digital, and power design.
Must have experience in multi-layer board layouts.
Proven experience in product design lifecycle, including taking hardware designs to manufacturing successfully.
Experience working with firmware engineers.
Experience in designing to meet EMI/EMC and power quality requirements.
Must be experienced with standard test equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
Experience with best practices including high-quality documentation (BOM, versioning, etc).
Well-versed in electronics simulation tools (LTSPCE/Altium).
Experience with microprocessors, memory devices and logic devices and interfaces.
Experience with installing, maintaining and upgrading electronics systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated interest in electric propulsion.
