Our client in Englewood Colorado is seeking an Azure Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity. This role offers the chance to lead reliability and scalability efforts in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting high traffic, mission critical platforms.

Azure Senior Site Reliability Engineer Role:

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure based cloud infrastructure while ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient. This role partners closely with application engineers, product teams, and leadership to embed SRE best practices.

Designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant Azure infrastructure

Defining and maintaining SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability dashboards

Leading incident response, on-call rotations, postmortems, and mitigation strategies

Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

Automating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps principles

Eliminating manual toil through tooling, automation, and self-service platforms

Implementing modern observability and monitoring solutions ie Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights

Driving performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost-awareness engineering

Enforcing security, governance, and compliance best practices across Azure environments

Mentoring engineers and helping shape a culture of operational excellence and reliability

Azure Senior Site Reliability Engineer Background Profile:

5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering

Deep expertise supporting Azure-based distributed systems

Strong hands-on experience with:

Azure App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure SQL, Azure Storage

Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)

Azure DevOps Pipelines (CI/CD)

Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights

Solid understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability-driven engineering

Experience modernizing legacy applications for improved reliability

Knowledge of Azure networking, identity, and security (VNETs, AAD, Key Vault)

Experience with Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF, DDoS)

Working knowledge of Redis, PostgreSQL, and Azure Cosmos DB

Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Self-directed mindset suited for a fast-moving, agile environment
