Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Develops, maintains, and optimizes CNC programs for plasma, flat laser, tube laser, press brake, and other automated operations.
Uses CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SigmaNEST, or equivalent) to generate accurate part profiles, nests, and bend programs from engineering drawings and 3D models.
Verifies machine setup parameters and tool paths to ensure programs run safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Collaborates with engineering and production teams to resolve programming or design issues.
Supports operators with program setup, job sequencing, and troubleshooting questions.
Reads and interprets blueprints and fabrication drawings to create part geometry and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Maintains and organizes digital file structures for nesting, part, and job programs.
Continuously reviews and updates existing programs to reduce cycle times, improve material yield, and enhance part quality.
Assists in standardizing programming processes and documentation for repeatability and efficiency.
Supports the quality system and continuous improvement programs through accurate programming, revision control, and adherence to established procedures.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support manufacturing goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (A.
A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2-5+ years related CNC / CAD / CAM experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Multi-machine programming experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
