SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7 am - 3 pm

What You'll Do:
Keep production running smoothly by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and responding quickly to equipment issues across brewing, cellar, packaging, and utilities
Own facility reliability through daily walkthroughs, detailed CMMS documentation, and proactive identification of potential equipment failures before they impact operations
Apply your technical skills to maintain high & low voltage electrical systems, industrial packaging equipment, HVAC, compressed air, glycol chillers, boilers, & other critical utilities
Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance, safety protocols, and maintenance processes
Support a safety-first culture by maintaining accountability for personal safety, speaking up when concerns arise, and occasionally entering confined spaces with proper protocols
Build expertise in brewery-specific systems while leveraging your industrial maintenance background-brewery experience is helpful but not required; we'll teach you the beer side

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician II works within the Production Department and is responsible for maintaining production equipment, production facility utilities, and supporting production team members as needed. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors - Connect, Grow, and Give a F*ck. Additionally all Maintenance Technician III will do the following:
Able to work independently with minimal supervision from department manager
Complete daily facility walkthroughs to ensure proper operation of facility equipment and utilities
Maintain detailed records of all PM's, repairs and any other work completed throughout workday
Communicate clearly with team members and management
Support daily operations by performing mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance on brewhouse, cellar, packaging and utility systems
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accountability of personal safety and mindful of any potential safety concerns that could affect the safety of the team.
Maintain a high level of initiative and productivity in an occasionally demanding environment
As a member of a small, but dynamic team, promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork
Maintain and repair high-volume packaging, brewing, process and utility equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose machinery issues, control electric issues or any other problems that arise
Maintain detailed records of all work performed utilizing CMMS
Actively seek and participate in improving the department and production
Practice good housekeeping, clean up after working on equipment, work to improve organization of production areas
Assist management with maintaining an accurate spare parts inventory
Complete line changeovers when switching can formats and packaging formats
Maintain utilities (boiler, air compressors, chiller etc.)
Occasionally enter confined spaces such as tanks or production vessels
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Additional degrees/certifications are a plus
Monday through Friday availability 7 am - 3 pm shift with occasional weekend availability for maintenance emergencies
3+ years experience in the industrial/production/manufacturing setting within the maintenance field
Brewery and/or food processing experience preferred
Experienced in the utilization and use of CMMS systems
Military training or trade school a plus (not required)
Experience with high and low voltage electrical systems including 24 volt control systems
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Attention to detail
Ability to work with little supervision
Self motivated and strong work ethic
Maintain personal safety and confidence to speak up when safety is compromised
Positive "can-do" attitude and sense of urgency in performing duties
Ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
Proficient in Google and/or Microsoft Office applications
Comfort in multitasking
Experience in use of powered lifts and industrial trucks
Welding/Fabrication is a plus, but not required
Willingness to go the extra mile when necessary
Working knowledge of the craft brewing industry and a passion for craft beer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to frequently sit, stand, kneel, crouch, climb, lean, and walk
Ability to frequently talk, hear and smell
Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms, handle/feel for objects, tools, controls etc.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
Ability to climb ladders up to 32' safely

The work environment is usually that of a brewery, bar, or restaurant.
Occasional work with hazardous materials
Often works on or around wet floors and wet environments
