JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a talented SQL Developer who is passionate about data in all its forms. In this role, you will be part of a talented team working to analyze and improve large, complex datasets in a high-profile, mission critical platform. The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise in SQL and relational data architecture and have deep experience in Business Intelligence and data quality.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with data owners and stakeholders across the firm to analyze and identify data quality issues in large, complex datasets

Optimize database views and queries to improve performance

Execute high-sensitivity data backfills to improve data quality

Understand the data model across multiple business domains and identify gaps in the model

Design and create highly-optimized table structures and views

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of overall professional software development experience.

7+ years of relational and columnar database development experience with strong knowledge of writing complex SQL and stored procedures.

Strong ability to build and optimize SQL queries from a performance perspective

Experience in various data architectures such as domain-driven architecture

Strong knowledge of open-source libraries for data processing like Airflow.

Ability to understand complex business processes and data, ideally within financial companies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with visualization tools like Tableau

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

Knowledge and automated testing and data quality tools
