Contribute to computer programming efforts for a clinical trial drug project and to provide programming support for clinical trial data reporting and regulatory submissions. Assumes protocol level and some project management responsibility while supporting the Programming and Statistics lead. Able to support multiple protocols independently and to contribute to integrated summaries of efficacy and safety. Demonstrates strong SAS programming skills; participates in protocol team and some project team interactions. Builds successful relationships and seamless interfaces at the protocol/project team level. Provides timely and effective communication to the programming and statistics leads.

Provide comprehensive programming expertise to clinical project teams to support the development, regulatory approval and market acceptance of BMS products. This position is primarily responsible for the design, development and implementation of technical solutions for integrating, analyzing and reporting clinical data. Statistical contracting programmers develop collaborative relationships and work effectively within a project. This position reports to a Statistical Programming Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

Ability to effectively program/troubleshoot/debug complex code. Understands validation principles and requirements and consistently develops code in accordance with those requirements.

Ensures priorities are aligned and communicates proactively and effectively around issues and risks.

Provides comprehensive programming support for project teams.

Provides support for acceptance of vendor deliverables.

Builds successful partnerships and seamless interfaces within a project. Provides timely and effective communication to project team members, highlighting goals and priorities, ensuring work efforts parallel a project’s objectives.

Ensures quality of deliverables by consistently applying standards and complying with regulatory requirements, guidance and corporate and departmental SOPs and work practices.

Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and consistency. Contributes to improvement and standardization of processes.
