Position Summary

The Web Developer II is responsible for providing technical expertise, supporting mission-critical delivery, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

- Design and develop user-friendly, accessible web applications.

- Implement APIs, front-end logic, and UI enhancements.

- Ensure Section 508 compliance and federal accessibility standards.

- Debug, test, and optimize web components.

- Work closely with UI/UX and software engineering teams.

- Front-End Development

- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)

- Responsive design & mobile-first development

- CSS frameworks: Tailwind, Bootstrap, Material UI

- Front-end frameworks/libraries: React, Vue, Angular

- State management: Redux, Vuex, Pinia, Zustand

- TypeScript (highly preferred in modern teams)

- Back-End Development

- Server-side languages/frameworks:

- Node.js (Express, NestJS)

- Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI)

- PHP (Laravel, Symfony)

- C# (.NET Core)

- Java (Spring Boot)

- RESTful API development

- Authentication & authorization (OAuth2, JWT)

- Microservices architecture (optional but valuable)

- Databases

- Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server

- NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch

- Query optimization & schema design

- Tooling and DevOps

- Version control: Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket

- Package managers: npm, yarn, pnpm

- Build tools: Webpack, Vite, Rollup, Babel

- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)

- Docker & container-based deployment

- Security Skills

- OWASP Top 10

- Secure coding practices

- HTTPS, TLS, CORS

- Input sanitization and CSRF/XSS protection

- Authentication & session management best practices

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

- 3-7 years of relevant professional experience.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
