He / she champions improvements using analysis and implements corrections and improvements using quality tools such as Process mapping, SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, Kaizens, A3s, fishbones, root cause analysis etc.

The quality engineer will also develop inspection plans to assist the inspection department.

The quality engineer will interface with program customers, and program focal.

* Monitors and analyzes internal data such as nonconformance and corrective actions.

* Interface with the customer on program quality issues.

* Improves and problem solves using quality tools such as Process mapping, SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma, Kaizens, A3s, fishbones, root cause analysis etc.

* Create quality improvement plans * Create inspection plans * Review and approve engineering documents * Review and approve purchasing and planning documents * Assist with audits * Participates in MRB and CCB * Submits nonconformance documents to customers * Identify and understand customer requirements * Assist with supplier problems GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education: * A four-year college (Bachelor's degree) is required.

Experience: * Position may be filled with both entry level and experienced candidates.

* Microsoft office - Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Access, Project etc * ERP/MRP softwares * CATIA Other: * Extended or irregular hours may be required.

* Must be authorized to work in the United States.
