Role: Controls Engineer

Join a recognized leader in the mining industry as a Controls Engineer where you'll design and implement automated control systems that power critical mine operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial automation technology, developing Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and establishing Factory Information Systems for real-time data access across mine operations. You'll collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system reliability and safety, troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and network infrastructure, while supporting commissioning of new equipment and capital projects. Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial controls and automation

• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and PowerFlex drives

• Experience with HMI platforms including PanelView, Wonderware, or Ignition

• Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, networking, and Windows/VMware infrastructure

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex automation systems

• Ability to work flexible hours based on project and support needs (first and third shift capability preferred)

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

• CMMS experience preferred

• Knowledge of federal mining laws (MSHA), mine ventilation systems, and materials processing/handling systems is a plus
