Description:

The Senior Machine Operator is a hands-on production role responsible for operating,

maintaining, and troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment to ensure high-

quality output and efficiency. This position is not a management role but requires strong

technical expertise, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor junior

operators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve process and quality issues independently.

• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with company safety

standards.

• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams to improve efficiency

and resolve operational challenges.

• Follow and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing

process optimizations.

• Mentor and train junior operators, providing technical guidance and knowledge-

sharing without direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Maintain accurate documentation of production, quality, and maintenance

activities.

Essential Communication Skills:

• Clearly communicate production status, issues, and solutions across teams.

• Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance to junior operators.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, QA staff, and fellow operators.

• Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced production

environment.

Other Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in

machine operation.

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting complex

machinery; technical training or certifications a plus.

• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making

skills.

• Output: Proven record of consistent, high-quality production.

• Interpersonal Skills: Team-oriented with the ability to mentor and guide others.

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
