Overview: Metric5 is seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Developer with 6-10 year's development experience in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, with additional experience with HRConnect desired. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of PeopleSoft architecture. As a Senior Developer, the candidate will support development and integration of new solution modules, in addition to operations and maintenance and small enhancement work. Activities include designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting system enhancements in an Agile environment. Candidate must be able to propose solutions to user requests, design and develop those solutions, and work with stakeholders to conduct and complete testing and deployment activities.

Responsibilities:

Perform analysis, design, code and testing for a PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 system

Coordinate with Agile team members to understand client business needs and requirements and design technical solutions that meet those business requirements in adherence with application architecture

Develop PeopleSoft technical solutions, upgrade and modify Peoplesoft applications as per business needs.

Provide production support to include troubleshoot, fix, and maintenance activities

Create technical design specifications and other project required documentation such as project plans.

Create reports and queries using SQL, PeopleSoft Query, XML Publisher and SQR

Collaborate with users, analysts, and other developers to resolve complex defects and issues

Interact in a collaborative fashion with the development team to ensure delivery of quality software products

Perform code reviews and recommend improvements.

Identify and troubleshoot coding issues in a timely fashion.

Ensure that project deliverables meet business requirements and ensure to complete project within assigned timelines.

Provide support in system testing and bug fixing activities.

Recommend new coding techniques to ensure quality and usability.

Required knowledge and experience:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or related field

6+ years development experience with a PeopleSoft system

4+ years working with the following PeopleSoft modules: Core HR, Base Benefits, Payroll for North America, Time and Labor, Absence Management

2+ years developing PeopleSoft Fluid UI pages

Experience working with Agile software delivery methodologies and Jira software

Strong programming skills and techniques and a good understanding of relational databases

Experience developing on an Oracle Database platform strongly preferred

Relevant experience clearly documenting defect information to include analysis, steps to reproduce, and technical fixes

PeopleSoft Federal experience preferred with working at least at 2 Federal agencies implementing or support PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 - Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor and Performance Management

Experience managing large complex enterprise system migration projects

Required qualities/skills:

Ability to understand and communicate technical issues related to defects and enhancements

Detail Oriented

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed to achieve results

Demonstrated track record of analytical and critical thinking skills

Organized, motivated and demonstrate the ability to work under minimal supervision to achieve desired objectives

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide solutions

Ability to interpret a variety of technical information

Proficient experience in PeopleSoft implementations; installation/configuration and troubleshooting of software and applications

Experience upgrading and modifying Peoplesoft

Proficiency with Oracle database structures

Salary Range: $110,000 - 155,000 annually

Location: Local to DMV Area

Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a government agency Clearance.
