Overview

We are hiring experienced BAS Technicians to support commercial service and construction projects across Central and Southwest Virginia. The role focuses on field diagnostics, controls programming, commissioning, and system upgrades. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in active job sites and dynamic field conditions. Strong HVAC controls experience and BAS troubleshooting skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and retro commissioning of HVAC control systems.

• Install, program, and commission BAS systems including GUIs, integrations, and networks.

• Upgrade BAS equipment and replace legacy or pneumatic controls.

• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, field devices, and communication protocols.

• Complete preventative maintenance using functional testing methods.

• Respond to service calls and diagnose system failures.

• Support installation and upgrade projects with other technicians.

• Maintain accurate service documentation and follow safety and project requirements.

• Interface with customers professionally during site visits.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of BAS field experience in service, programming, or commissioning.

• Strong electro mechanical aptitude through education or industry experience.

• Ability to read wiring diagrams, design documents, and construction drawings.

• Comfortable working in heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.

• Eligible for security clearance and able to pass a background check.

• Valid driver license with an insurable record.

• Flexible availability including evenings and overtime when required.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with Tridium, Alerton, Schneider Electric, Distech, Honeywell, ALC, Invensys, or Trane.

• Understanding of IP networking fundamentals is a plus.
