As an Auto Body Painter, you'll prep metal, plastic, and composite surfaces and apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat to meet CollisionRight standards for color match, texture, and durability.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Perform proper surface prep; clean, sand, and prime as required

Mask glass/trim; protect non-paint areas to minimize tape lines/overspray

Spray primer, base, and clear (waterborne or solvent systems)

Mix & match paints; verify color/effect prior to application

Buff/sand finished panels to finish standards

Assist with minor body work to prepare vehicles for paint

Use required PPE; follow OSHA and hazardous-waste procedures

Clean and maintain spray guns, booths, and related equipment

Inspect finished work for quality and accuracyQualifications

1-3+ years professional auto refinish experience (MSO/dealership/independent)

Strong knowledge of surface prep, masking, priming, and refinish workflows

Proficient with spray guns/equipment and color matching

Excellent eyesight/color perception; high attention to detail

Safety-minded; follows written and verbal instructions

Able to lift 35 lbs routinely (occasionally 70+ lbs); comfortable with climbing/stooping/kneeling/crouching
