Our new establishment, Studio Four29 is quickly building a reputation for exquisite cuisine, exceptional service and creative cocktails in a chic, casual environment.

We are currently seeking an experienced chef de cuisine to execute our seasonal menus to perfection, to lead our kitchen team and participate in our culinary innovations and creations.

Job description: As the head chef, you will be the leader of our kitchen team, responsible for participating in the creation of new menu items, sourcing and ordering the finest ingredients and the execution of outstanding dishes. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene are maintained at all times.

Key responsibilities: Develop and produce innovative and exceptional menu items that meet our clientele's need. Oversee the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring consistent quality. Lead, train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Manage kitchen operations, including, inventory, budgeting and procurement of fresh products. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with management to align culinary direction with the establishment's goals. Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the culinary team.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a head chef, sous chef in an upscale or fine dining establishment. Culinary arts degree or equivalent professional qualification. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing, motivating a team. Creative culinary skills with a passion for food and culinary arts. Excellent knowledge of current culinary trends and dining best practices. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong understanding of costs and labor systems that lead to kitchen profitability. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
